This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) defines the manner in which Béton Provincial Ltd. and its affiliates (“Béton Provincial” or “we”) can collect, use, store and disclose the personal data you provide or that is collected through Béton Provincial’s websites (collectively, the “Site”) or that we possess about you. The Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected as part of all of our operations, with the exception of personal data that we collect about our employees, ex-employees and candidates for employment with us.

This Policy has been drawn up in compliance with the applicable laws regarding privacy protection, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (S.C. 2000, c. 5), the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector, CQLR, c. The data that we collect

Rest assured that we require any third parties that receive your personal data from us to comply with the legal standards and the security measures needed to protect your personal data.  Béton Provincial does not sell or disclose personal data to third parties, except as provided by law or after having obtained your consent. We may share your personal data with third parties that provide services to us such as IT assistance, payment processing, cloud hosting or Site maintenance; with the courts or other law enforcement authorities; or with other third-party entities, for example, as part of a commercial transaction or in case of insolvency or bankruptcy.

In addition, we may disclose non-identifying aggregate data on Site traffic trends to our partners or other parties.

Disclosure and retention of personal data outside of Québec or Canada

It is possible that the subcontractors we work with or other third parties that receive your personal data from us may operate outside of Québec and Canada.

In any case in which we share your personal information outside of Québec or Canada, we ensure that your personal data is processed in a secure manner, in compliance with this Privacy Policy, and that a written agreement exists with the third party concerning the processing of your personal data. In addition, before sharing your personal data outside of Québec, we always carry out a privacy impact assessment, primarily to evaluate the inherent risks involved in sharing the data and the applicable legal regime in the country to which your personal data will be sent.

We take protecting the personal data in our possession seriously, in accordance with our industry’s standards. Our security measures are specifically adapted to the quantity of personal data in question and its sensitivity.
